Accommodation: Cape Town City Centre

(Stay @ Canopy by Hilton)

Day 1: The Waterfront & Table Mountain - an orientation

Arrive and receive an orientation of the city. Spend your late afternoon and evening at the world famous V & A Waterfront. A shopping mecca, historical harbour and art centre. Galleries, fine dining options, incredible beauty all found in this space.  Weather permitting, go up Table Mountain at your earliest convenience.

Day 2: Cape Point and Boulders Beach

Full day private tour of Cape Point incorporating Hout Bay harbour, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Cape Point Vineyards, Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope. On your way back, stop at Boulders Beach to see the endangered and rare African penguin. This is a day filled with beautiful landscapes. Take your time to soak it all in.

Day 3: Free Day

Pause to just enjoy the city. Take a Lions Head Tour hike.  Or a longer guided hike in Newlands or Cecilia Forest as an alternative to Table Mountain. Or for a change of pace visit a museum – we have great museums, wonderful art galleries with knowledgeable guides who can elevate your experience of the art.  You can opt to take a tour to Woodstock and Salt River to appreciate the graffiti art that vibrantly colours the neighborhoods. OR, go fabric shopping and get a tailored souvenir! And while here, perhaps have a Cape Malay curry or Koe’sister. Make this your day, and design it to suit your mood.

Day 4: City Centre Tour

On this day, we recommend a guided walking tour… OR TWO… depending on your fitness levels and levels of curiosity… in the morning take a gentle 2.5 hour walking tour of the city centre. Learn about the rich and layered history of the city of Cape Town. We recommend a private tour tailored to your needs. In the afternoon, join a group tour centred around food in the city centre. See parts of the city that are usually hidden. Enter grand building and view the city from different angles.

Day 5: Winelands Tour

The Constantia Wine Valley is the oldest in Cape Town. Napolean Bonaparte once only preferred wines from Groot Constantia. The views are incredible, the wine sublime, the winemakers passionate! Meals and wines consumed on this route linger in your memories, long after you return home. And it’s only 20 minutes away from the city centre!!

Highlights:

  • Table Mountain – arial views of the city, the ocean and Robben island.
  • Bo Kaap – beautiful homes, incredible views and fragrant spices await you on this portion of the journey.
  • Winetasting – wine farms steeped in history with spectacular views.
  • Boulders Beach – your opportunity to see African penguins in the wild.

Consider adding on:

  • A helicopter ride – aerial views of the city.
  • Robben Island – rich history, emotive experience.
  • Personalised Art Tour – our art scene is thriving.
